Josef Seifert is wrong on the liceity of using the stem cells from babies delivered alive and subsequently killed. His logic is amazingly bad. He just assumes all stem lines are from a few years ago. How long ago is long enough to make them liceit?
He agrees murder is bad, but if someone is murdered (he uses himself as an example) you might as well make good use the body and organs … and stem cells. He, for example, would most willingly donate his own stem cells if he were (theoretically) murdered – to bring some good from the bad.
He is missing the core of the argument. This is no random death. The baby is murdered specifically for its parts. Babies have been murdered for years to harvest their parts and will continue up to be murdered … to harvest their parts for oh, so humanitarian reasons! All such good reasons to harvest arms, legs, eyes, organs, stem cells. Big Pharma is profiting off of the the parts of a baby delivered, parceled up and then killed. Participating in that past transaction, in any way and however remote makes one complicit. And, importantly, it makes it certain that similar transactions occur here and now; today, tomorrow, forever. Why not, Mr. Seifert?
He uses the example of King David’s adulterous sin as leading to later great good – Our Lord is from the line of the King who committed the grave sin. My goodness! King David REPENTED! He turned from his sin and accepted great punishment for it. Mr. Seifert’s logic would have us participate in the sin so that great good can come later from it … recalling St. Paul’s admonition “What shall we say then? Shall we continue still in sin so that grace may abound? God forbid!” (Romans 6:1). King David is in the line of Jesus because King David repented, turned from his wicked ways and payed massive penance.
And then, the crowning, blatantly blasphemous parallel, using the crucifixion of our Lord (!) as an example to justify past murder. “Redemption and the sacraments come from Jesus’ death … the greatest of all gifts”. First of all, Jesus chose death, he was not killed against His will. His will reigned then and reigns supreme still. He was a willing sacrifice to pay the penalty for our sins, the greatest of which is the killing of babies in the womb. Great good only comes from Jesus’ death and resurrection to those who repent from their sins and do not cling to them willingly and persistently. To equate that salvivic act of God Almighty with the murder of a baby to achieve “redemption” from sickness is obscene.
Seifert’s argument, ultimately ensures their will be an industry based upon the body parts, including stem cells but not restricted to them, of aborted babies. “One cannot cooperate in any way with a past crime formally or materially” since it already occurred, so using a vaccine derived thereby is no sin, Seifert says. Except … (a) using the vaccine is a moral vote that it doesn’t matter and a direct moral vote in favor the past crime and (b) it is a vote directly in favor of current and future crimes as the abortion industry is built on producing product that Catholics like Josef Seifert obviously want very much and are willing to pay Big Pharma much money to produce – and produce they will.
It is horrible that any Catholic would justify cooperating with the death of babies offered to Moloch. They were killed for their stem lines, they will be killed again for their stem lines and they are used by Catholics like Josef Seifert for their stem lines. This sin demands repentance and penance and acts of reparation – not commercial support.
Bottom line: Josef Seifert has aborted baby stem lines flowing through his veins. He advocates for harvesting from dead babies to achieve good for the sick and suffering. Not acceptable for a Catholic.

What he received at Seminary is not the Faith of Jesus Christ, outside of time, Holy Mother Church past, present, to come – now and in eternity; unchanging, nor can it ever change.
Worship Jesus at the Holy Sacrifice at any SSPX chapel, preferably at one of their Churches or Priories where the majesty and beauty can be witnessed in full. Worship Jesus at the FSSP or ICKSP. Jesus is there in His full power, majesty, love, forgiveness, grace. Meet Jesus as every other Catholic has always come to meet Jesus since the primordial beginning. Jesus gave us perfection and it does not change, nor can it. We can grow to see it more fully and complete … but change? Never!
What the Priest studied and lost his faith under was not the Catholic Faith. It (Vatican II religion, separated and distinct from dogmatic, Magisterial Sacred Tradition) is slowly dying away and will one day be forgotten forever, except as a warning to future generations.
My advice to the discouraged and rapidly apostatizing Seminarian: don’t leave the Faith. Return to the Faith, or discover it for, perhaps, the first time in your life. Your only chance at eternal life and happiness is to find the Jesus you once knew, but whom very bad people took from you.
