He gets wrong what 99.9% of all Catholics get wrong, including Taylor Marshall, whom he admiringly quotes. His error is contained in his summary sentence at the end: “ Rather, we can use anger to work for righteousness against an injustice and forgiveness *toward the one who has wronged us*.”
Wronged US? No. You missed it by a mile. Not even close. By implication, you seem to think, like Bergóglio and the Modernists of New™️Mass, that we are upset about aesthetics, sentimentalism perhaps.
Nope. Try again. Re-work your article from the correct base premise.
We are Christians, Roman Catholics, who have given up everything and are prepared for martyrdom (both white and red) not for “smells and bells” (hateful phrase) and calming, meditative chant. It is for Jesus Christ, up there on the altar, made present – Golgotha in all of its terrible darkness, power and glory as the King of Kings dies for our sins and brings light and life to what was before darkness and death. There He is, on the Altar, raised by our Priest in union with every other Priest who ever lived … including our Great High Priest – Praise God Almighty!
THAT! Only THAT matters. We are angry about sacrilege to THAT. It’s not about us at all. We are angry that a mere antipope mortal DARED to restrict THAT. And instead deigns to give us the Clown™️Mass. How dare he and any Bishop in union with him. How dare any Catholic lecture another about calming down and failing to be intensely angry at the sacrilege and the injustice that leads to damnation of souls when the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass of Ages is taken away, as promulgated for all time in Quo Primus by Pope St. Pius V.
MK, and those of the furrowed brow like Taylor Marshall, lecture us to be calm. Sin not. The anger MK is focused on is *selfish* anger – aka sinful anger. Righteous anger is in defense of our God. Jesus Christ was recorded to be angry only once – directed at sacrilege in the Holy Temple of His Father in heaven. And it was epic anger because they all fled from the force of it.
“Act, and God will act, work and He will work.” – St. Joan of Arc. There has to be heaping portions of this when our God is defamed and sacrilege is committed against His Holy altars in His Holy Mass. ACT. Stop mewling.
Pope St. Pius V, he who gave us Quo Primus, gave us something else. He gave us victory over the Muslim hordes who nearly overran Christendom. He formed a Navy, led by Don Juan of Austria … and acted on behalf of Our Lady and Our Lord. No, he didn’t just wrong his hands and cry about woes and sorrow. He sent a pathetic little band against the prevailing earthly power, entrusted it to the patronage of Our Lady … and only THEN did he pray and fast. He ACTED. In FAITH. And the Muslims were utterly defeated, overthrown, before the sword and more importantly the collected, unified prayers of the Rosary by the sailors.
Righteous anger is not only appropriate in this case – it is essential. Any Catholic must possess it now, in this moment of the overthrow of the most essential thing on earth.
