Bishop Barron is upset because a study of “Catholics” has just been released which central finding of “a 2019 Pew Research Center study showed that 69% of all self-identified U.S. Catholics said they believed the bread and wine used at Mass are not Jesus, but instead are “symbols of the body and blood of Jesus Christ.”
“ It’s hard to describe how angry I feel”, Bp Barron says of the study, “This should be a wake-up call to all of us in the church,” Bishop Barron said. “We need to pick up our game when it comes to communicating even the most basic doctrines.”
It’s baked into the Nu-Mass Cake, Bishop Barron. It is the fruit of the central premises of Vatican II and its Nu-Mass worship services in which “all are welcome to share in the “Eucharistic meal” … just like I used to do when I was a Proddie.
The thing is, there is no work that can be done to fix this problem. God is not in the Vatican II, Nu-Mass project and so it is dry bones dead. It is disconnected from Tradition, all Doctrine and Dogmas. It is “Nu” by design. Nu “Mass” for Nu times.
But God never changes. He gave us perfect. Pope St. Pius V enshrined the Tridentine Mass, through his Papal Bull Quo Primum for all time, as the Mass of ages that can never be taken away. It was defined by Trent as perfect and cannot be deviated from by anyone. Yet Vatican II did just that.
And now – few in Nu-Mass believes in the Real Presence of Jesus. No surprise.
Nu-Catechesis is not the answer. Repent and return to Sacred Tradition is the only answer. There is no life, no possibility of life, without God in His True Church. Those connected to Christ through the vine of Tradition and the sap of Grace will abide in Christ. Those who have a better solution than a branch of Magisterial Tradition are cut off and burned.
Return to Tradition and Catechesis and belief will surely follow.
