I can’t be neutral after reading that. This is not just a harmless English governance thing, carried over from mideival days. This goes to the heart of the Catholic Faith itself, an essential part of the rending of unity within Christendom part and parcel with Luther himself. Not harmless – this descendent from Henry VIII’s family tree was as responsible as anyone alive for the destruction of Christianity as an evangelistic force within the world.
