Pope tees up for UN tyrants<\/p><\/div>\n

Officials within the UN are pushing the notion that the human population should be reduced in order to effectively combat climate change.<\/p>\n

The long standing notion has been continually pushed by Christiana Figueres, the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCC). In 2013, Figueres\u00a0had a conversation with\u00a0Climate One<\/em>\u00a0founder Greg Dalton regarding \u201cfertility rates in population,\u201d as a contributor to climate change.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

For ‘planners’ everything is a system with inputs and outputs.\u00a0 Make this intervention here, and the humans will provide that targeted output there.\u00a0 We are to be pushed, molded, formed, crushed.<\/p>\n

\u201cObviously less people would exert less pressure on the natural resources,\u201d Figueres answered, also noting that estimates suggest the Earth\u2019s population will rise to nine billion by 2050.<\/p>\n

Dalton then questioned whether that figure could in some way be stalled or halted.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo is nine billion a forgone conclusion? That\u2019s like baked in, done, no way to change that?\u201d he asked Figueres.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is pressure in the system to go toward that; we can definitely change those, right? We can definitely change those numbers,\u201d Figueres said in response.<\/p>\n

Really, we should make every effort to change those numbers because we are already, today, already exceeding the planet\u2019s planetary carrying capacity.\u201d she also claimed.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

What kind of sweeping, arrogant, ignorant statement is that?\u00a0 Is the Earth some Airbus to Hell where you can only carry on one bag and a computer?\u00a0 Someone told her the ‘planet’s planetary capacity’ and she believed it – and look, we’ve exceeded it already!\u00a0 That must be why we have all that warming which no-one can feel or detect. Humans have already ruined the climate so humans must cease.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo yes we should do everything possible. But we cannot fall into the very simplistic opinion of saying just by curtailing population then we\u2019ve solved the problem. It is not either\/or, it is an and\/also.\u201d the UN official also said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

There is one thing liberals never are and it’s simple.\u00a0 They are always complex and complicated and we<\/em> are simple. That must be why Pope Francis told <\/a>us on Good Friday to:<\/p>\n

“enter into the mystery of the empty tomb”, to “seek a deeper meaning, an answer, and not an easy one, to the questions which challenge our faith, our fidelity and our very existence.”\u00a0<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Truth is so complicated it can’t even be known or believed.\u00a0 To have faith is far too simple a solution.\u00a0 We must always question, question, question.<\/p>\n

That must also be why Pope Francis, author of the upcoming encyclical on the climate and sustainability, recently warned <\/a>against breeding like rabbits.\u00a0 I think three-children is the “number experts say is important to keep the population going,” he advised<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Why we must get this kind of moral advice from someone who has such weak discernment, who relates to UN overlords with planetary egos and systemic ignorance, I have no idea; but he’s the Pope foisted on us upon Benedict’s abdication, and we have to size up the situation for what it is.<\/p>\n
