{"id":7196,"date":"2016-03-31T16:33:03","date_gmt":"2016-03-31T20:33:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/66.147.242.160\/~stumbli4\/?p=7196"},"modified":"2016-04-01T07:36:53","modified_gmt":"2016-04-01T11:36:53","slug":"professional-pro-lifers-reveal-themselves-over-trump","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stumblingblock.org\/?p=7196","title":{"rendered":"Professional Pro-Lifers Reveal Themselves Over Trump"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I have to confess that I&#8217;m ignorant of the pro-life movement&#8217;s platform.\u00a0 I didn&#8217;t know they had a policy, which they&#8217;d defined somewhere in unison on the wild chance that the powers that be would overturn Roe, against any punishment for women who choose to abort their children.\u00a0 I&#8217;m not running for president on a pro-life ticket, but I am equally as dismayed as Trump seems to be.<\/p>\n<p>Abortion is murder, yes?\u00a0 If it&#8217;s only an accomplice to murder then that&#8217;s certainly a very strong complicity, like tying up the victim and holding the gun while someone else pulls the trigger.\u00a0 But I&#8217;ve come to learn from &#8216;real pro-lifers&#8217; and &#8216;real conservatives&#8217; that &#8216;post-abortive&#8217; mothers are actually <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifesitenews.com\/news\/pro-life-leaders-outraged-donald-trump-says-post-abortive-women-deserve-som\" target=\"_blank\">victims<\/a> too.<\/p>\n<p>Is punishment for women who abort bad policy?\u00a0 I suppose.\u00a0 Is it even necessary?\u00a0 Well it wasn&#8217;t before 1973, but they didn&#8217;t have the abortion pill then.\u00a0 Is it poor political strategy?\u00a0 Well I don&#8217;t know.\u00a0 It&#8217;s not like the one they have is winning, is it?<\/p>\n<p>But the great Catholic opinion leader, ever ready to distill and ponder Pope Francis&#8217;s latest bit of &#8216;wisdom,&#8217; Robert George, says that when Trump called briefly for some consequence for women, under hostile and abusive grilling from Chris Matthews, it was a sure sign <a href=\"http:\/\/www.firstthings.com\/web-exclusives\/2016\/03\/trump-is-no-pro-lifer\" target=\"_blank\">he doesn&#8217;t mean any pro-life word he&#8217;s uttered<\/a>.\u00a0 &#8220;He&#8217;s not one of us,&#8221; George pronounced.<\/p>\n<p>Who cares?\u00a0 Who do these pompous establishment scolds think they are?\u00a0 Isn&#8217;t Trump&#8217;s position even more pro-life than theirs?\u00a0 They only want sanctions for doctors, as if that&#8217;s gained them anything.<\/p>\n<p>Trump wants more.\u00a0 Ted Cruz wants to &#8216;enforce the border,&#8217; but Trump wants a wall.\u00a0 A wall is better because you know it&#8217;s working.\u00a0 But look, Ted Cruz is serious and honest while Trump&#8217;s just a pretending<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nydailynews.com\/news\/politics\/king-fake-christianity-donald-trump-article-1.2510260\" target=\"_blank\"> unChristian racist<\/a>, yes?<\/p>\n<p>Does anybody seem to understand that when Ted Cruz jokes about how he&#8217;d like to <a href=\"http:\/\/twitchy.com\/2016\/03\/31\/watch-ted-cruz-jokes-about-running-over-donald-trump-in-a-car\/\" target=\"_blank\">back over Trump<\/a> with his car he&#8217;s saying the same thing to the majority of his voters?\u00a0 If Cruz is so saintly, why does he want to crush the bedrock of America under his wheels?\u00a0 I think that&#8217;s a good question.\u00a0 Why, when he smiles do people <a href=\"https:\/\/www.psychologytoday.com\/blog\/the-fallible-mind\/201601\/why-ted-cruz-s-facial-expression-makes-me-uneasy\" target=\"_blank\">not see a smile<\/a>?\u00a0 When he laughs, why is nothing funny happening?<\/p>\n<p>Carly Fiorina once again laid out the contemptuous slur that Trump has proven he has <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/politics\/videos\/2016-03-31\/carly-fiorina-responds-to-donald-trump-s-abortion-remarks\" target=\"_blank\">no principles<\/a>.\u00a0 Why?
