Francis will be your demigod and together we will rule over you, our pitiful, inferior slaves.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>***<\/p>\n<p>Aleteia&#8217;s article arguing that John the Baptist was a <a href=\"http:\/\/aleteia.org\/2016\/08\/29\/4-ways-in-which-saint-john-the-baptist-was-the-first-hipster\/\" target=\"_blank\">hipster <\/a>says a lot about the World Youth Day FrancisCatholic now being cultivated.\u00a0 Isn&#8217;t a hipster sort of a bearded, gender-neutral man who can&#8217;t think for himself and barely had a father?<\/p>\n<p>How can we make &#8216;catholic&#8217; hip?\u00a0 That&#8217;s the question of the era.\u00a0 Answer: Wreck it.\u00a0 Then it will have been made hip.\u00a0 John the Baptist wasn&#8217;t hip.\u00a0 He was a man.\u00a0 That&#8217;s why Herodias hated him.<\/p>\n<p>***<\/p>\n<p>Why is it that every faithful #NeverTrump Catholic is always some brainiac?\u00a0 They&#8217;re so smart they know that Trump is just pretending to be conservative, as if every other GOP politician isn&#8217;t also?<\/p>\n<p>Joseph Pearce is the latest light <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theimaginativeconservative.org\/2016\/08\/political-party-conservatives-american-solidarity-joseph-pearce.html\" target=\"_blank\">pushing <\/a>that <a href=\"http:\/\/aleteia.org\/2016\/08\/05\/magic-mike-voter-angst-over-2016-candidate-choices-paves-opening-for-american-solidarity-party\/\" target=\"_blank\">magician <\/a>from the American Solidarity Party for the &#8216;conservative&#8217; Trump alternative.\u00a0 &#8216;Solidarity&#8217; is a good thing, yes?\u00a0 It means taking care of our neighbor, right?\u00a0 Or is it just code for cleptocratic clerical socialism?\u00a0 Mike Maturen will receive .0034 of the popular vote.\u00a0 There has never been a meaningful movement for a third party to the left of the GOP, and there never will. A viable third party could only come from the right, like they have now in Europe.\u00a0 Perhaps they could name it the &#8220;Subsidiarity&#8221; party.<\/p>\n<p>These professional Catholic thinkers are so &#8216;good&#8217; they want Hillary for president.\u00a0 They betray their Church, their country, and the murdered unborn children for whom they claim to have special preference.\u00a0 They&#8217;re arrogant and superior.\u00a0 These useful idiots fit squarely into the FrancisChurch that pays them.<\/p>\n<p>We moved recently into a house owned by a very booky &#8216;academic&#8217;.\u00a0 From the top of the attic to the very corner of the basement the house was filled with books; tired, outdated, foolish, worthless, pretentious books.\u00a0 There was almost nothing worth reading.\u00a0 The house was also filled with bugs, roaches, spiders, and the most pestilent air I&#8217;ve ever inhaled.\u00a0 The dust from one of those roach-eaten books would make you terribly sick for weeks.\u00a0 You see, the professor believed bugs had as much of a right to live as he did.<\/p>\n<p>We bombed the place, painted it with Kilz, ripped out the kitchen to the subfloor, and aired the open house\u00a0 for six months.\u00a0 The professor&#8217;s wife used to visit him there every Friday.\u00a0 Why do men give their lives to study, if they&#8217;re only going to confuse people and twist their own souls?<\/p>\n<p>***<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m becoming increasingly disturbed to hear Catholics placing faithless men and women in Heaven.\u00a0 Isn&#8217;t Heaven what our faith is all about?\u00a0 Then why must they act like it&#8217;s dispensable, secondary?\u00a0 If being obedient to Christ and his Church and remaining in a state of grace through the sacraments isn&#8217;t necessary, why on Earth do we do it?\u00a0 Either the Church was always right about this or it&#8217;s always been wrong.<\/p>\n<p>At FirstThings they are sure that there&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/feeds.newadvent.org\/~r\/bestoftheweb\/~3\/QW5DEP8I31A\/theres-no-such-thing-as-an-ex-catholic\" target=\"_blank\">no such thing as an ex-Catholic<\/a>.\u00a0 Tim Kaine and Mike Pence are still Catholic somehow.\u00a0 Really?\u00a0 Then how would you describe the inhabitants of Hell?\u00a0 Are they still Catholic too?\u00a0 The Church Militant is a spiritual reality, a group of living men, women. and children united in grace and obedience to God.\u00a0 That&#8217;s what it means to be Catholic.\u00a0 Heaven is Catholic and so is God.\u00a0 It&#8217;s not that He condescends to our &#8216;religion&#8217;.\u00a0 It&#8217;s that we rise to His reality.<\/p>\n<p>But Francis doesn&#8217;t agree.\u00a0 He thinks &#8220;there is no Catholic God.&#8221; \u00a0 That&#8217;s because Francis isn&#8217;t Catholic.<\/p>\n<p>The other day my pastor taught us that only snobs who think they&#8217;re superior believe Heaven is for Catholics.\u00a0 It&#8217;s a class thing, see.\u00a0 We&#8217;re just like first-class passengers: rich people who need their own restrooms and require a curtain between them and the unwashed.\u00a0 Pope Francis would have shouted for joy to hear it, you know that bitter FrancisJoy you have to force yourself to feel?<\/p>\n<p>Then a good priest I know told us Sunday about an irreligious, recently deceased man who had no vocation other than to tend reptiles and exotic pets.\u00a0 He said he was sure this man was now in heaven because &#8216;God has a way and a plan for everyone.&#8217;\u00a0 My friend is a very faithful, prayerful, and devoted priest but his kind of thinking is poisonous.\u00a0 He sees no line.\u00a0 Almost everyone will go to Heaven, yet he continues to serve the Church.\u00a0 Why?\u00a0 This fallacy has sunk us all.\u00a0 It&#8217;s deadly to preach it.<\/p>\n<p>***<\/p>\n<p>St. Corbinian&#8217;s Bear makes an excellent point about Pope Francis, the humble and lovable, the guy with all the warmth, the one who radiates.
