Mr. Walker, I think the post-conciliar, Novus Ordo and the failed Vatican II Council is imploding. When good holy priests like Fr. Altman get dumped by corrupt prelates, the false shadow church shows just who they worship- pagan idols, and one un-repented mortal sin and acts of sacrilege after another. The SSPX is quickly becoming the refuge of faithful Catholics.

    Archbishop Lefevre, pray for us!

We will all one day, no matter how low or high, and sooner than we may think, be required to make the choice of Arbp LeFebvre.

There is an hierarchy and it starts with the Holy Trinity.
      – Jesus Christ incarnated and became man through Mary Full of Grace.
      – Our Lord appointed Peter in union with the Apostles.
      – Through ordination, Peter and the Apostolic line are extended until the eschaton.
      – They were given the Deposit of Faith by God. Their job is to deliver it, intact and whole, in the name of God whom they serve, until the eschaton. They cannot change it, it does not belong to them, it is on loan from the Word made flesh. It is a foretaste, a portion, of the government and economy (as it were) of heaven.
      – Lastly, the Faithful who receive the Word and are obedient to those tasked with delivering it in any and every age and which must not and cannot change.

The Pope is not God. The Pope makes mistakes, no less than St. Peter. If Popes can be in hell, then we know they can make mistakes. We look to and worship God above in union with the Pope and Apostolic line in union with him. But …. what, when he and they depart from the true path? Is it possible? It is prophesied by many over many years that it is possible and is, in fact, certain that he will.

I look at the choice of Arbp LeFebvre and am in awe at the magnitude of its consequences and his bravery and spiritual certainty in choosing as he did. But … we now face similar choices, further down the hierarchy chain – no less momentous, however on a spiritual plane for us and ours. What do we do when the Hierarchy, at the highest possible level below the Blessed Mother herself, demands we leave the Sacred Deposit of Faith, the Constant Magisterium and the Holy Word of God in specific and personal instances?

It is no longer a theoretical choice. It is a practical choice: Does a Priest stop saying the Latin Mass in St. Peter’s? Does a Layman stop attending a Covid-cancelled Mass without further efforts? Do any of us bow down in veneration and adoration (worship?) to Pachamama? Do we recognize Bishops chosen by communists? Do Priests permit adulterous communion? Do we stop attending TLM; do Priests who can say TLM, refrain? The “Pope” has ordered all these things. Do we in obedience … do them? Or not.

THAT was the choice of Arbp LeFebvre. The Sacred Deposit of Faith and the Word made flesh who gave it to us is ABOVE the Pope, not his servant. THAT is the key fact.

With respect, the Sedevacantists should be the refuge of faithful Catholics. The SSPX and FSSP will not cut their ties to the Antipope Bergoglio and his apostate “Church,” therefore they are partakers of the sins of the Novus Ordo “Church.” The SSPX may have valid Holy Orders through Archbishop Lefebvre, but does the FSSP? If they don’t have valid Holy Orders, then their Masses, even in Latin, are invalid. Validity of Holy Orders and Sacraments does not exist in the Novus Ordo “Church” of Antipope Bergoglio. Those Trads who think that Benedict XVI is still the Pope forget that he was a Modernist theologian who was one of the Vatican II periti who helped create the Novus Ordo “Church.” The Sedevacantists are the ONLY true Catholic Church left!

I finally signed up for an sspx mass for this Sunday. I can’t take it anymore. I live in SW Washington State just over the river from Portland, OR. Both states have wacky leftist governors so I am in a bad place to be a Catholic. I have a difficult time wearing a mask for more than ten minutes. I will not wear one at Mass. It is disgusting and so disrespectful to God. Wearing a mask in the presence of our Lord is 100 times worse than wearing shorts. You may as well just come out and admit that you have no faith whatsoever. It is the ultimate symbol of cowardice. All I want is to receive the sacraments without these stupid restrictions. Thank you for speaking out against the insanity.

      Alan Boehlke,

I know the Priest and the Parish there well. You are going to be in for a delightful surprise. There are amazing things happening there, which I place upon the broad shoulders of the newly ordained Priest.

He does not like compliments. He passes on any of them he receives directly to God. But, I will say it anyway, he has made a major difference for me and mine at a most perilous spiritual time. Grace is there in abundance.

We no longer live nearby (for the practical, personal reasons you allude to … we moved near another wonderful, slightly larger SSPX Chapel), but I pray you will find the Chapel there and its young Priest a refuge and a strength.

Btw, the Parish has purchased new property and is moving, the process starts in two weeks. If you live in SW Washington I am confident you will very much like their choice.

I don’t miss Washington, but I very, very much miss that little Chapel. It is growing by leaps and bounds, not so little any more. God bless you there.

One last comment to you, if I may …

I recommend a book you will likely find in the “narthex” there: Open Letter To Confused Catholics – by Arbp Marcel LeFebvre. (The small selection of books for sale there, some used from parishioners, are all excellent).

It is a book not in any way trying to guide anyone into the SSPX per se. That is not its point. Its point is to offer pastoral solace and answer questions to those “confused Catholics” who are having a hard time making sense of things as they are.

He wrote it in 1987. He died in 1991. The book essentially frames “the field of battle” on which we find ourselves, perhaps seeing it as it is for the first time. These are the issues of his latter life (his earlier life was as a simple Catholic missionary to Africa in the early 20th century – a time of great conversion there).

But he saw quite clearly what was coming as the II Vatican Council progressed and turned into specific Constitutions and revolution within our Holy Liturgy. That became, somewhat against his will it seems to me, the focus of his latter days. He did his duty as a Catholic; as a Shepherd. And so, this book concisely explains the battle we are in, most of us don’t even know it.

Here is a brief commentary on the book from Brian Williams, The Liturgy Guy:

    God bless you,

Thank you. I will definitely check it out. I admit that I have been rather ignorant about the sspx and I know there is a lot of false information out there. Recently I have been looking deeper into it . All I know now is that they are the only Catholics that actually acted like Catholics during this scamdemic and that says a lot. The cowardice displayed most Novis Ordo parishes in WA. is sickening right now. With the present Bishop of the Seattle diocese I don’t see it getting any better. Lift up a prayer for me. Laughed at the “formally a Washington moss-back.” Thanks again and God bless.
