Excerpted from the article: “Some of the women are employed by the German Church and are already preaching at Novus Ordo Eucharists.”

Oh yes, pay close attention at Mass and see how the Deacons are given more and more importance during the liturgy. The other day at a televised EWTN Mass, the Deacon did the readings, read the Gospel, gave the sermon, took part in the “lavabo” (washing of the hands), did all the servicing of the altar during the Offertory, during and especially after the distribution of the Holy Eucharist. Meanwhile, the priest sat off to the side unless to say the Offertory prayers, the Sanctus, the words of Consecration and specific prayers before the Holy Communion ceremony. The Deacon did everything else until the priest’s final blessing and “Ite Missa Est.”

Francis has already “ordained” a good number of female Deacons at the Vatican. Now they’re ready to go in Germany. Just a matter of time before they’re everywhere the priest was supposed to be. I wonder if by then anyone will even notice or care, since there are already vast numbers of altar girls, flocks of women Eucharistic ministers and Epistle readers. Concurrently, the role and visibility of the Deacon at Mass is ever expanding. Won’t be long before married Deaconesses will be on the altar and effectively in charge of half the Mass. Viva the Synodal Path.

    Hello Frank,
I listen to you’re podcast almost all the time, when my time permits. However, I’m taking exception today 4/23/24. With you are talking about Candace Owens and Steve Bannon.
It’s NOT for you too question their motives, credibility or most importantly their faith. There are a lot of folks who are not considered “good” Catholic’s. I wish that were different, but unfortunately it’s the sign of the times. But it’s NOT up too you to question their faith. You, must not remember what Jesus says in Matthew 7:1 JUDGE NOT, AND YOU WILL NOT BE JUDGED.
I’m afraid this time Frank, you got this wrong, don’t judge folks on their faith! It’s not up to you, it’s Jesus’ responsibility!
    Blessings and kind regards!

In the scheme of things, I expect they’ll be judged on what they accomplish, which seems like quite a lot. I’m sure that I can say that, yes? Judgment is an aspect of thinking, like ‘discrimination’. I don’t think Jesus wants us to stop doing that.

    Hello Christina,
Listening to the same podcast, I did not deduce that “the faith” of Owens or Bannon was being questioned or belittled. What was questioned was Matt’s prudence in making a novice Catholic the keynote star of his CIC this fall. In a recent podcast, Matt compared and contrasted photos of Owens and Superbowl sweetheart Taylor Swift.
At the CIC, in order to impart a sense of gravitas and veteran championship for the Church, why not have chosen a keynote from such venerable Catholic “warhorses” as Bishop Strickland or Cardinal Burke or Archbishop Vigano?
But, business is business, and celebrities with star power can draw in a lot more paying guests, and their wealth, why not, helping turn the Kilimanjaro dream into a done deal.
