The sudden illness of Cardinal Burke is puzzling. We know he became a major thorn in Francis’ side, most recently leading the charge against canceling the Latin Mass. He notably has been up front, challenging the papal endorsement and general bioethics of the vaccines.
Now, out of the blue, he falls deathly ill in Wisconsin and is fast-tracked to mechanical ventilation in an IC ward. Certain media speakers (and certain clergy to boot) are of course all over this, making an example of the anti-vax cardinal to support the party narrative of mandatory jabs.
But wait. We know that Card. Burke lives in Rome. Draghi has coerced the vax passport in Italy. Furthermore, how could the cardinal have flown into the U.S. without proof of one or two Covid shots?

I saw the excerpt of Bishop of Rome Bergóglio’s talk to the suffering Faithful. As a former Protestant I am here to tell you that he is a full on, grass fed, 100% Proddie. Jorgé Bergóglio would be at home in any Protestant Church. It’s why I frequently call him Pastor Bergóglio. He’s a Protestant Pastor. He is not a Catholic Pope.
“Do I live in fear of going to hell? No. I live in the gratuitousness of salvation in Jesus Christ. Do I despise the 10 Commandments? No, I observe them, but not as absolutes because I know that what justifies me is Jesus Christ”.
This is what Protestants do: place Jesus Christ and the power of salvation in opposition to the power to be delivered from sin and rebellion both now and forever. “Just as you are”. “Don’t work your way to heaven, Jesus saves”. “You sin every day, hour and minute – Jesus forgives it all”. “Jesus covers our sins; nothing you can do will ever change that”. “The worst sin is to try to take the place of Jesus and work your way to heaven”. “Works based faith is bad; Grace based faith is good”. “Once you are saved you are always saved and there is nothing you can do that will ever take that away – salvation and heaven is certain”. “Say yes to Jesus and you have your ticket to heaven; no one can take it away, nothing you do, no sin you commit can possibly take that away – heaven is yours”.
I left the Protestant faith because intuitively I knew (my conscience was talking; my Guardian Angel is active) that I was lost in my sins and that to gain heaven and to know and possess Jesus Christ in eternity I would have to repent, turn, conquer, sell all, take up my Cross with Jesus and die – *die to the world* – and live in Jesus Christ every day, hour, minute.
The Catholic Faith promised union with the bi-millennial Church that demanded great sacrifice and constant discipline if I wished to live forever. I gave up … a lot to do what I did – gladly, willingly – I want to be in union with all the Catholics who ever lived in union with Jesus. And that road to my personal Golgotha is hard, desperately hard.
And now … here’s the “Pope”, Pastor Bergóglio, who tells me I made a foolish mistake. Get out of the confession line, stop going to Mass, turn the football games back on and just do whatever I please in the joy of knowing I am going to heaven no matter what because Jesus loves me just as I am, sin and all. Sin and sin boldly because God’s Grace and God’s love is greater than my sin – God wants me in heaven … all I have to do is say yes.
I reject him. I’ve seen his type before. He is as Protestant as any Protestant who ever lived. He is Martin Luther incarnate – and just as foul mouthed and vulgar. That is the advantage of my conversion, and what I pass in to the cradle Catholics: what Pastor Bergóglio is preaching is Non-Denominational Protestantism – I was born into it and I know it when I see it. It just is.
Call him Pope to your doom. He is not teaching the Magisterial Catholic Faith.
