Fast and Pray Oh Christian That You Are Docile to the FrancisTeaching

EWTN/CNA reports:

In preparation for Pope Francis’ visit to Cuba this fall, the bishops of the island nation are asking the faithful to perform acts of mercy during the first Fridays of July, August and September.

“Pope Francis never stops talking about mercy,” the bishops said in a June 29 message. “The first Sunday after his election, he mentioned it 13 times. And he just recently called for the celebration of the Extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy which will begin December 8 this year and conclude November 20, 2016.”

That’s true.  Mercy, mercy, mercy and not a word about repentance.  It’s like the opposite of what a prophet of God might say.

Mercy “is nothing less than ‘reaching out with our heart’ to others,” the bishops continued. “Sometimes it seems we live in a heartless world. Everywhere we come across moral, spiritual, social, intellectual, physical and material poverty…and we also find people who have hardened their hearts in the face of human suffering.”

People who ‘harden their hearts in the face of human suffering’ don’t do any work.  It’s called lazy.  Most of the time poverty goes with it, but in many cases, like the Holy Family itself, poverty can come from sacrifice and self-giving.  That kind of poverty is nothing to denigrate.

Is FrancisChurch trying to tell us that Mary, Joseph, and Jesus were foolish, or that they were unfortunate victims of someone else’s hard heart?  And why is everything poverty…’moral, spiritual, social, intellectual, physical and material?’  (Nothing is actually ‘social,’ is it?)

I think the only poverty Pope Francis can speak to is spiritual.

In light of this situation, and to prepare for the Pope’s Sept. 19-22 visit, the Cuban bishops asked people to perform works of mercy for those in need on the first Fridays of the next three months. They also requested “special times of prayer and fasting,” as well as community prayer vigils Sept. 17-18.

The goal of these initiatives is “to ask for God’s help so that he would dispose the hearts of all Cubans so they would listen to and receive the message of hope and mercy that Pope Francis will bring to us,” they stated.

This is just more creepy Francis-worship.  Look at the hysterics of FrancisVisit Abp. Chaput, or Cardinal Dolan’s rejoicing!

The Left is so bent on making us think Catholicism is now Francis-ism, we must now all pray, fast, and do works of FrancisMercy so that the inane, un-Catholic, and dangerous things he says will sink ever more deeply into our once Christian brains.

I am the good shepherd?

I am the good shepherd?

For the infamous and corrupt prelates in our new FrancisChurch the Gospel is just a tricky word-game.

Rorate Caeli reports:

“Everyone is welcome, nobody is excluded”. With these words Monsignor Vincenzo Paglia, President of the Pontifical Council for the Family, replied to the questions from journalists at a press conference for the presentation of the eighth World Meeting of Families, planned for the 22nd to the 27th of September in Philadelphia. Asked about the presence or non-presence of homosexual couples in Philadelphia, Monsignor responded: “We are following Instrumentum Laboris on the Synod to the letter. Everyone can come, nobody is excluded. And if anyone feels excluded, I’ll leave the 99 little sheep and go and get him”, he added with a quip.

Here’s a question for you Catholic school kids?  If you’re showing off your gay couplehood at a big Catholic Church event and cool Archbishop Paglia goes chasing after you, does that make you now in the fold?

ANSWER: NO.   You’re still going to Hell.  (Unless he hears your sincere confession.  I wonder what his hours are?)

It’s comforting to know that the obedient Archbishop follows the new Instrumentum Laboris to the letter, isn’t it?  He sure is a son of the Church!  I wonder what other things you can get away with in the name of that instrument.

“The intimate connection” between the meeting in the USA and the Synod, specified Monsignor Paglia, “is evidently not only temporal. The hope is that the meeting in Philadelphia and the Synod in October may truly build an ecclesial and social season, characterized by a renewed focus on the family. We want to work towards this. We want the Gospel of mercy proclaimed in the great cities of the world, most of all in the poorest and most marginalized quarters.” (SIR).

TRANSLATION: We hope to corrupt the entire world with poisonous FrancisMercy one city and Synod at a time.

Patron Saint of the Notorious

Patron Saint of the Notorious

In the new post-Christian Hell, statues honor our depraved selves, not the greatness of others.  Is Susan B. Anthony an American founder or just a historical revisionist’s invention?  What difference does it make?  Things mean only what we’re told they should mean, yes?

On Tuesday, the Assembly Committee on Arts, Entertainment, Sports, Tourism and Internet Media, a California State Assembly committee, approved Senate Joint Resolution 4, a bill endorsing the replacement of the statue of Father Junipero Serra in the National Statuary Hall Collection on Capitol Hill with a statue of astronaut Sally Ride.

The bill, approved 6-0, will now be sent to the whole Assembly for final approval. The bill was barely passed by the State Senate in April in a largely partisan vote, 22-10, as Democrats voted for it and Republicans against it. 21 votes were necessary for passage.

Junipero Serra was saving indigenous people and founding every city in California, even before the American Revolution.  Sally Ride was a woman who went into space.  Going into space is an accomplishment in and of itself, but being a woman is accidental.  Why must we all honor it as if it were something heroic?

Some critics argue that the switch originated more from a desire to remove Serra, a controversial figure, than to honor of Ride. SDSU history professor John Putman–who teaches at the same institution where Ride once worked–told ABC 10 San Diego, “Sally Ride is a perfectly fine choice, but I think this is much more about Junipero Serra and removing a symbol of the past.” He added, “Without Father Serra’s venture, there would be no state of California,” allowing, “Opponents see him as a symbol of oppression.”

Everything good or loving is ‘oppressive’ and anything that’s been built.  It doesn’t matter if it’s a great man, a great country, a great business, or a great Church, we must now have equality, build bridges, withhold judgment, renounce our evil profit for the sake of the poor, the poor, the poor!  The poor are the center of the Gospel and the ‘human person’ (Can’t we assume each person in question is human?) must be the center of the new economic system!

A new system?  Does that mean the one where you produce something you want to sell and I buy it for the price I want to pay is going to be over?  I thought that was just life.

Everything must be turned upside down so I can continue my vacuous well-expensed UN peacocking.  Pope Francis condemns ‘un-Christian’ arms makers while he’s protected by a deadly corps, and have you seen the elite way anti-capitalist Naomi Klein lives?  What is hypocrisy in our new moral FrancisCode?

Communism isn’t about challenging wealth and oppression.  It’s about confiscating power.  Communism is just thuggery writ large and thug states like Cuba are the antithesis of God’s Commandments, His rule of law.  That’s why Democrats, Mafia, Communists, Unions, Illegals, Atheists, Gays, Gangster-Rappers, Planned Parenthood, Islamists, Satanists, and the FrancisVatican are all allied.  They share an agenda.

We are being buried under a mountain of manipulation with the truth nowhere in sight.  Of course we could always embrace the clear Christian witness of Laudato Si, yes?  Well, it has its good points though.

Ride, who admitted being a lesbian later in her life, was celebrated by the LGBT community. Jo Michael, legislative associate at Equality California, said, “Dr. Sally Ride is an icon and an inspiration for women and girls and for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community. We believe it is high time for the LGTB community, and particularly LGBT youth, to be able to someone represent our community at this level and demonstrate that LGBT people can and do make history through their achievements,” according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.

Is that history?  Where is history?
