An interesting series of tweets from Steve Skojec who seems to be having a rough time of it spiritually. His current dilemma is summarized in this cry of accusation against God:

Yes. That is correct. That was the judgement passed on mankind in Eden for rebelling against God. We chose Lucifer over Jehova. Blessed communion with Eternal Light was snuffed out – guarded from re-admittance by an Angel of fire armed with a sword. Yes, Steve. That is what happened.
And those who are lost find that incredibly unfair. But our opinions on this topic are not remotely relevant. Almighty God is the source of all creation. We exist, live, thrive for a time ONLY because Jehova God, who IS Love wills it. Our ultimate destiny is in His hands. God is God. We are not God. Regardless of belief or opinion, we all submit to His Almighty will and power.
BUT ….. BUT ….. what Steve left out of his treatise against the unfairness of created order is that God ALSO gave Mankind, His highest creation, a way BACK, a way to Communion once again. Steve forgets that God Himself paid the price for our parents’ and our personal rebellion against His gift of life and Divine Love. He redeemed us. We rebelled. He left His Throne of glory and became Man, suffered and died – not for Himself but for our rebellious, ungrateful selves. “While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5: 5-11).
So Steve has the equation all wrong. God did not set us up to fail and eternally die. He gave us everything in Eden and we followed His enemy instead. And then He gave Himself to us as a sacrificial Lamb simply for the sole purpose that He might regain us once again.
I was once a Protestant. Their Crosses, if they have any in Church, are empty of Christ. It is a profound joy, and Christ’s crowning glory, to be Catholic and be with Jesus and just stare at my Lord, my God, hanging on the Tree for me; His blood flowing down onto the Altar, for me. I pray Steve Skojec will see that once again, and that the whole world will see the message so obscured by selfish materialism, convert to and worship the God who emptied Himself so that We.Might.Live.Again!
A way that invited the exercise of Free Will, once again.
