Who belongs to Opus Dei? – http://www.opusdei.org/en/faq/#who-belongs-to-opus-dei
People of all kinds belong to Opus Dei: priests and lay people, men and women, young and old, married and single, of every occupation and social situation. Most members are married and have families – these are called supernumeraries. Some members (numeraries and associates) make a commitment to celibacy, and so generally have more time and availability to dedicate to the various activities promoted by Opus Dei. Some celibate men are ordained as priests, who make up roughly 2% of the membership. There are currently about 85,000 members of Opus Dei worldwide.
FM, when will the Opus Dei commit to traditional Catholicism and quit all the Vatican II stuff?
I just finished reading Randy Engel’s “thesis” on Opus Dei.
It was an amazing expose and immensely compelling.
Thanks for advancing it.
Very good point today about the lack of manliness in many dioceses, if it sounds “gay”, thats most likely because it is “gay”. Everywhere you find this capitulation to the world, flesh, and the devil, you find the evil twins, sodomy and usary.
Spot on Frank. Voris was here in Tampa and the Diocese let him give his seminar at the Church which happened to be the designated traditional church in the diocese (except for when the Vietnamese come in and tear down the altar to put their Cranmer table back in place LOL) , I thought the Archdiocese of Detroit had prevented him from coming on their properties but maybe that was in the past. I almost went but it just gave me too much of the Father Corapi vibe. Back in the day I was into that EWTN and that creep show Fr. Corapi so I went to a few of his seminars. Just completely not for me.
Here’s what it is to me exactly: It’s trying to rebrand the novus ordo with a traditional Catholic veneer and this is just never going to work. I like some of Mike’s talks but he’s not full on Traditional, he’s trying yet again to put another spin on newchurch and it’s never going to work. Tradition or nothing.
Anyway, none of it will matter soon if you’re paying attention at all to some of the current geopolitical events and celestial happenings. 2017 is upon us.
