I don’t want a fake pope messing with my Blessed Father Solanus. This is very annoying to me, how can he beatify Fr. Solanus if he’s not even pope? To be clear Bl Solanus is a great saint I just wish it was Pope Benedict who was beatifying him,
I was born in the same hospital that Fr. Solanus died in (Saint John’s in Detroit), nine years after his death there in 1962. I learned about him at an early age in Detroit, he grabbed me and I have been his follower ever since.and I carry a relic of his habit in my wallet at all times.
