Frank, I am still a little bit confused. If what Cardinal Burke says is true- namely, that for a pope to formally profess heresy he ceases to be pope, then, why not then go straight to Benedict and ask if his resignation was coerced? If it was, then he never ceased being the pope. If the resignation was valid, then the conclave was most certainly invalid due to the numerous violations of Universi Dominic Gregis as Bishop Rene Gracida argues. As far as I am concerned, Bergoglio was never the pope. The evidence is now overwhelming. The only question is when will Cardinal Burke and his supporting cardinal brothers take action?
Bishop Gracida has recommended that a group of true cardinals meet with Benedict first. There are some people still suggesting that this catechism trick isn’t heresy. I think the bar’s a bit high! I don’t imagine anything will happen without a change in external pressure. Such a fundamental change in the goals of our world order may be out of reach. A pope like Francis has been fundamental to their goals for hundreds of years.
