Dear Lynn: I agree with you in principle, but as a resident of NY state, I would appeal for your prayers rather than your death wish for us. There are millions of us in UPSTATE NY who are captives of the millions in the metro NY City area. They outnumber us in votes and we, therefore have virtually no representation in the state assembly. They get everything they want, and we pay for it with our taxes and our anguish at being abandoned by our so-called representatives. We have also been abandoned by our bishops who have no courage and no faith; who did virtually NOTHING to prevent this hideous new legislation, and who after the fact can only make a statement expressing their “sorrow” over it all. Not one of them has the guts to excommunicate or even chastise the “servants of Baal” who voted for all this. These hirelings have done nothing to care for their flocks; they have no regard for the many trads who are desperate for the TLM. There is in all Upstate a handful of Latin Masses, and most of those are once a month and many not even on Sunday but on weekdays so one’s Sunday and holy day obligation is not fulfilled.
I could go on and on, but I will just ask that you consider what I have said and pray for us for we are languishing in State that is out-Sodoming Sodom. And with our gigantic taxes, we can’t afford to move because no one wants to buy into that burden.

If Francis is correct and aborted babies go to Heaven, then Planned Parenthood has gotten more souls into Heaven than the Catholic Church has in recent decades. Francis’s statement might just push a very confused pregnant teenager over the wrong edge — better to abort and send my child to Heaven than to let him live a troubled life.
