10 Thoughts on “Canon212 Update: If You Keep Asking Francis if He’s a Heretic, Does That Mean He May Not Be?

Funny about all this quasi rabbinical parsing of words that is now taking place with Bergoglio. He says something clearly outrageous and heretical to the faith and so called conservatives give it the Bill Clinton line, depends on what you mean by is. So if the catholic religion is just one of many religions, all being good, then where does the idea of the Sunday obligation come from? Still considered serious-mortal sin to willingly miss mass. So Bergoglio’s god imposes this rule on the catholic religion but not on any other religion? He just says you catholics have to worship me this way but not Muslims or protestants? So is this just a man made rule that fills the collection plates? This Vatican 2 operation is creating mass confusion.

Fr. Z and Fr. Hunwicke are looking over their shoulders at bishops. They’re living inside the dragon’s lair and are afraid to say what needs to be said. They’re compromised. They’re twisting themselves into pretzels attempting to explain Francis’ heresy. It will have to be the laity which carries the fight.

Francis’ joint statement with the Imam about different religions was outrageous, even for this crazy time. How anyone can still see this guy as a Catholic pope, is just baffling.

Lynn, you’re correct. His words need to be taken at face value. How does the normal person hear and interpret these ridiculous sayings? Not everyone is an armchair theologian with the sweet time to finesse heresy into something Catholic.

You and I understand what those words mean.

But then again, most of us do not earn our living at the hands of those that make us dependent on misunderstanding an ever greater number of things in order to maintain the standard of living that is our custom. That is not the case of most of the clergy, sadly.

The braver and most faithful of them are already being persecuted as a witness to the lack of Faith in the Church, especially in Rome.

OK Father Z I am spittle feckled nutty…or whatever. Francis brought a profound message and life lived of apostolic poverty and a return to this discipline as the true way to restore the Church….you cannot love both God and money, or the world….and Christ actually spoke to him and commissioned him. The Church was sent into great tumult over this commission. With John XXll this mission was ended. Rome and the papacy chose love of power and money and squashed the mendicants. “The love of money is the root of all evil.” See St Thomas on coveting. Too many rich meals and high flying Father Z?

  5. Frank,
One of your headlines rails against St. Paul V1 because , you say, under his evil watch, abortion was legalized in America.” And you are going to blame HIM for that??? Even a stopped watch is right twice a day. His Encyclical Humanae Vitae was prophetic and took great courage in the climate of the time.
As a ‘child of the sixties’ who got lost in all the lies I deserved a very low place in hell. There was a cultural revolution going on and Satan was at the forefront of it. So many of the words you post, commenting on the headlines of various articles are so unbelievably unkind and filled with dangerous sins of detraction and cynicism that I fear for you. You should provide the service and let us be the judge of what we are reading, as Pewsitter does. There is a chronic lack of humility in your thought processes that you inflict upon others with your headlines. Time to open up the Book of James. A little admonishing is a Spiritual Act of Mercy.

Yes. I do think he bears much of the blame for the collapse of the Church and the depravity which followed. It’s hardly mobilized politically for anything good since before I was born. The world today is largely the Church’s fault. It’s not the other way around.

If I were to post links with only the original headlines, then I’d be doing a tremendous disservice to C212 readers, leaving them essentially in the hands of the mainline press and Francis’s twisted tricks. It isn’t hubris or ‘excessive judgment’ to present the truth. Are the writers wrong to give their own takes on events? It’s interesting how people who tell me to be more like PewSitter read Canon212.

      Christine;

After half a century of theological, catechetical and liturgical anarchy, wreck-o-vation of churches, closure of parishes, collapsing vocations, sex scandals out the wazoo, the loss of two generations to the faith, constant attacks on the Church’s moral teaching and now a Pope who pushes heresy by stealth, many Catholics have “had it”. They’re angry, “mad as hell” and they’re not going to take it any more. And it’s about time.

Sorry if that’s a little strong for you but it’s come to this. The days of “keep off the grass” Catholicism are over. This is war!! We’re fighting for the very life of the Church which is being slowly choked by sodomites, quislings and idiots.

  6. Christine,

You have a nerve condeming Frank,

He does an excelent job and we should be thankful for him. He is a real warrior fighting for the Church he loves. For this I respect and admire him.

You should direct your condemnation to the hierarchy and clerics who attack the Church from within.

  7. The headlines on this site are a work of great mercy. In a sentence or two, Mr. Walker reveals the real agenda behind the TerrorChurch puff pieces.
