I live in the Diocese of Buffalo, it’s a disgusting mess. There’s only a few decent churches (one a Carmelite monastery).
The whole Diocese is populated by fake Catholics, who think the Church is like the US Congress. The fake priests calling for Bishop Malone’s ouster are all perverts themselves. The fake priests who claimed they were harrassed by other priests simply didn’t find them to their liking; but they liked other priests just fine.
Malone is in the middle of a cat fight, it serves him right.
I don’t know the story behind the creation of the blasphemous Greta image, but whatever the intentions were, what comes to mind are the words of Saint John Chrysostom — words that should give every Catholic pause today:
“And should you hear any one in the public thoroughfare, or in the midst of the forum, blaspheming God; go up to him and rebuke him; and should it be necessary to inflict blows, spare not to do so.
Smite him on the face; strike his mouth; sanctify your hand with the blow, and if any should accuse you, and drag you to the place of justice, follow them there; and when the judge on the bench calls you to account, say boldly that the man blasphemed the King of angels!”
I think that image represents quite well what they’ve done to the Church.
The “recognise and resist” question.
I have bought into this matter in many different ways over many years; the first, I think, was with regard to the “sedevcante” hypothesis. Ultimately, my answer remains practically the same then as now.
I have no authority whatsoever to depose, or to declare deposed or illegitimate, any man of Orders regardless of their rank in the sacerdotal or episcopal order of the visible Church. It is Christ’s Church and it’s up to Him to sort it out with His appropriate authorities in His own good time.
However, I am morally obliged to “weigh up” (judge) the winds blowing and I will have to own up on Judgement Day to my (I hope reasonably informed) opinions regarding the actions of various prelates and their conformity to the “One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Faith”. By the same token, I would have to own up to being a vacuous, cowardly sycophant if I defied my reasonably informed opinions and slavishly followed a prelate, pope, theologian, cleric, etc. into error. But, since I have no legitimate authority over the aforementioned I can only resist the errors according to my state in life and capacity.
My defence of my position is St Paul’s claim that “he withstood him (Peter) to his face because he was to be blamed” even though Peter’s error was only in giving undue deference to Rabbinical customs. That’s much less than other more recent saints chiding a pope for more grievous errors; none of whom presumed to “depose” a pope.
We need to define “Catholic and Apostolic” to repudiate the Modernist apostasy. The old catechisms described “catholic” as “universal” which the Modernists have contrived to mean that any belief system that becomes commonplace and is proposed, tolerated or condoned by the papacy and prelature is, therefore, “universal” and thus “catholic”.
More accurately, “catholic” means “always the same in every time and place”. The Faith is not liable to change anywhere, anytime, by anyone at all.
Apostolic means what the Church has always claimed it to mean; the Faith is that which was delivered to the Apostles and is not liable to any revision, deletion, or addition.
With regard to the Modernist apostacy unleashed by Vatican II, my opinion is that it’s “poetic justice” as in “your punishment is the liberty of egomania”.
More immediately; on the “election” of the Jesuit several people asked me what I thought of it. I said “I’ll wait and see”. Within a month I’d dubbed him T’Googlio Monster after the sock puppet featured on the children’s mind and soul destroying show, Sesame Street.
