I got this note from a reader yesterday.  Is Crisis Magazine heading south again?

****

Frank—

I was banned today on Crisis magazine blog by Michael Warren Davis, Editor-in-Chief shortly after posting the comment that if one wanted to know what was really going on in the Catholic Church he/she should check out Canon 212, Ann Barnhardt and Church Militant.

I was warned last week by Davis that I had not complied with their new comments policy:

Number3: “We will not tolerate heresy, calumny, or attacks upon our Holy Mother Church or Holy Father. “And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the powers of death shall not prevail against it.” (Matthew 16:18”).

This came after I had questioned the validity of Pope Francis status based on his heretical statements and questions concerning his election.

Things have changed at Crisis.  They are no longer interested in the truth about the Church but would rather suppress it.

Blessing to you and your work,  Mike Dowd

3 Thoughts on “Is Francis Defender, And Remnant Conference Speaker, Michael Warren Davis, Having a Good Effect on Crisis Magazine?

I stopped posting on Crisis a while back. I still check the articles because some of the essayists are very much worth reading.

The divisions in the Church seem to get more complicated by the day. It’s tragic but it is so. Of the many “camps” now I would put Mr. Davies in the conciliar conservative, for lack of a better term. I think he is where Church Militant used to be about a year ago or so when nary a negative word could be spoken about Jorge.

Anyway, for what it’s worth I’ve always appreciated Mr. Dowd’s comments while not always agreeing which is fine. Crisis has protestants, not simply commenting but actually contributing essays if I understand correctly. The “nuclear engineer” guy whose name escapes me comes to mind. He by definition rejects all kinds of rather important things, the Papacy included. And yet…

If I’m wrong about that I would apologize but I think that’s the case. To Mr. Dowd: soldier on!

Thanks for your support JTLiuzza on November 19, 2019. I had been commenting on Crisis for about three years and made negative comments about “Pope” Francis without a ripple of criticism by the Editor. Evidently Crisis changed their comment policy in this regard. Not smart in my opinion. Suppression of free speech is a tactic of Progressives/Democrats.

But I do say I won’t miss fending off all Novus Ordo name calling defenders who take issue with my basic position that Vatican II was a catastrophe for the Church and must abrogated in its entirety.

Past, Present and Future for the Church as I see it:

The beginning of end was Vatican II which set the stage for the Anti-Pope and after that the Anti-Christ. Quoting Soloviev, the Cardinal said “the Antichrist presents himself as pacifist, ecologist and ecumenist.”

Vatican II sold out Christ’s command to preach orthodox Catholic doctrine and Baptism to the entire world in order to make peace with Protestants and other religions.

Now we have arrived at the end of the beginning with anti-pope Francis creating an ecological/pagan religion as he works to establish a New World Order and prepare for the Anti-Christ.

And sometime in the not too distant future will come the end itself with the arrival of actual Anti-Christ.
