Christine Niles’ hostility to SSPX first, Lifesite second, is no mystery to me, as it is to Lifesite’s Steve Jalsevac. It’s pride – the mother of most sin. So much ego is connected into these base, unproven charges against a Holy Order, almost alone in its defense of orthodoxy from Modernism. Ultimately, it amounts to putting all her personal ego chips on the public social-judgement betting table (as distinct from an actual Court of Law).
If you “win”, the Holy Order goes down and you will be a hero; journalist credentials burnished and the path to fame well won as SSPX Priests flail at a growing public feeding frenzy.
If you lose, the Holy Order continues to leaven the Modernist apostatizing Church with life-giving Magisterial Dogma, and afford the suffering Faithful a refuge from the storm. Meanwhile you are outside the holy movement looking rather foolish as all the charges fade in their salacious froth; journalist credentials tarnished as a mean, gossip level high school reporter.
I hope Steve Jalsevac is not overly worried about Christine Niles’ campaign. It is not truth-based, it is agenda based, bigoted(*) based, and will go the way all such things must.

– One Church is in unity with itself in reference to a non-dogmatic pastoral Council.
– The other Church is in unity with Jesus Christ our Lord and our God and every binding dogmatic Council there ever was – every piece fits perfectly with every other.
I choose Jesus Christ and all that is in union with Him through time.
