In reference to Fr. Jackson, accused of the most heinous of all crimes, for a Priest, the participation in the murder of souls of children … this just came to me which I found relevant. Within my Church, there are those who are recipients, first person accounts, of sophisticated “phishing” schemes in which someone is impersonating someone well known within the Parish asking for a download of materials. Person is suspicious (by the Grace of God), contacts said person and finds out it WAS NOT THEM! Which indicates malicious intent to infiltrate computers within the Parish.
Phishing may now involve names you recognize, but are not from the person, but someone malicious.

They are all fake. These messages are spoofs – which means that some hacker sends a message pretending to be someone else. It doesn’t mean that person is sending those messages, only that someone is pretending to be them so you might fall for their trick.
The best solution for phishing mail is to learn how to recognize when a message is phishing.
Here are some ways to tell that these messages were fake:
The message presented itself as someone you might know, but you didn’t know the email address: user@transferbigfiles.com
The message itself is bland and nondescript: “Good day…” as if the writer did not know who they were talking to.
You have no idea what Alliancels is.
You were not expecting any file to be shared to you by that person or by that service
That person did not otherwise contact you about signing any file.
The download link “expires” quickly, in an attempt to coerce you to make quick decisions.
These messages are obviously fake messages and have been making the rounds for the last year. Please just delete them.

Beware! Once in and granted access by a keystroke, who knows what files might be transferred.

A good day for Christine – yippee! Oh, she has much to say about “I Told You So”.
A bad day for Fr. Jackson. A bad day for the Rule Of Law.
To those who instinctively defend the Priesthood until facts are presented publicly; until the Clerical and Legal processes are allowed to work in parallel, privately and professionally on behalf of BOTH the victims(s) AND the accused; until both sides have been heard by all relevant authorities and until legitimate forums and authorities have made their adjudications on the known facts and testimony … and ONLY then is when the public is allowed permission to see the results of the investigation and justice has been properly assured by relevant authority … to such as those who wait for all of this over time – Christine has a word for you:
“You were wrong in every case”.
The affidavit against Fr. Jackson thus means to Christine these these two things:
1) Fr. Jackson is already guilty. Lock him up.
2) Christine Niles is vindicated in all her current and prior crackerjack reporting.
Catholic press is no different than mainstream press – there is fake and legitimate. We all must decide which is right, and which is an illusion. Caveat Emptor.
And by this, please understand I do not minimize the gravity of the alleged crimes. Priests who actually do such things commit the gravest of all crimes and are guilty of the worst of all sins – sins that destroy the soul, not just the body.
As father to young children with special needs, all of whom are open to being taken advantage of by the powerful and strong, I am aware of the risks of evil people who pretend to be good as a means of taking sexual advantage of the weak and sucking the spiritual life out of them.
But no matter how serious the charge we must never allow its seriousness turn us into something we are not. We want TRUTH. And an angry bloodthirsty mob and the junk press that stokes their emotional fires will never help us get to that place. We must be wise as serpents and innocent as doves and always know that it is the canonical and constitutional legal process that will help us get there.
Truth, and only truth, is what will lead us to ultimate and lasting justice.
