In reference to Mundabor blogger’s recent article – “The Turd Era And You”. I always find it interesting how Mundabor will hurl the most insulting ephithets and insults at Bishop of Rome Bergoglio, but will not broach any debate about the invalid abdication that put him there as obvious, by law and act, antipope. He deletes anyone who questions his premises for his “Holy Father the Evil Clown” narrative. My answer to Mundabor, and his commenter “A.M”, who says “it doesn’t really matter how a Pope resigns – whatever … it’s all good; implied intent is fine; Canon Law is not binding”.

It amazes me that you agree with this statement (“You are absolutely right and common sense confirms what you say”).
Canon Law governs the proper form for a Papal abdication. It clearly does. The Church is governed by Law, in every detail and especially so, something as important as a Papal abdication. One cannot approve of the Law of the Church in every other area, but disallow it in this crucial respect governing the Papacy.
I duly note you refused to publish my prior little question on the glaring disparity between Munus and Ministerium: Canon 332.2 *specifies* Munus, Office. Resignation specified Ministerium, Ministry.
Canon 331.1 (immediately following 332.2) specifies Munus (Office) as the essential character: “By virtue of his office, the Roman Pontiff not only possesses power over the universal Church but also obtains the primacy of ordinary power over all particular churches and groups of them.”
Canon 331.2 also specifies Munus as the essential element of communion with the Universal Church: “In fulfilling the office of supreme pastor of the Church, the Roman Pontiff is always joined in communion with the other bishops and with the universal Church.”
So when the Pope chooses to resign the Ministerium and specifically avoids resigning the Munus, and in all subsequent public acts and words clearly affirms his knowledge that he retains the Munus, and you fail to recognize that – it is willful.
There IS a required form for abdication and it is contained in Canon Law 332 and 188.
I have to question why you say there is not. It is not a matter of spitballing the wall, and calling it good enough. It is the most important Office in the history of the world and resigning from it is carefully governed, now as ever in history. And there is no place for a retired Emeritus Pope. Never seen one, God did not allow for one, Canon Law does not specify how one becomes one.
And it is obvious to anyone with the eyes of Faith that the result of this failed resignation is anti-papacy.”
