Of course, he is correct. In my experience, I see youngsters – barely old enough to walk – in the pews around me in my packed to capacity SSPX Parish in Dallas keeping their place in their little children’s guide to the Mass Missal picture booklets. The Altar Servers of widely various ages are amazing too, memorizing the movements and the Latin responses. Even I finally figured out how to place the ribbons. And I recognize and understand key Latin phrases; easily find my place if I’ve lost it.
It came from God and it is meant for his favorites – the childlike and the simple. God suffers not the little children to come unto Him. He calls the simple and the meek, and has no use for education and airs of sophistication. It is God’s Holy Mass for eternity and it cannot be improved upon or updated to the times.
