“Pope Francis told a group of priests that he doesn’t want to see “grandma’s lace” when Mass is celebrated, saying that although “paying homage” to grandmothers is good, “it is better to celebrate the Holy Mother Church.”
I am wondering why the man doesn’t take his own advice? Why is he paying homage to Grandma’s Pope by wearing his white cassock? Why wear a cassock at all, vestige of a “church” before *THE COUNCIL*, a time best forgotten. Isn’t tight jeans with holes in all the right places and a hip, black t-shirt more appropriate for a Pastor Of The Peoples?
Francis: stop wearing the white! It is a detraction from your Vatican Council II ecumenical message. Civilian clothes for a Vatican II Church. Outlaw Lace. Outlaw Cassocks. Outlaw Collars. Jeans, T-Shirts, sport coats and hip loafers for the VII Church Of The Peoples!
Francis:; While you’re at it, get rid of the communion lines. Much more efficient and ecumenical to have ushers pass around buckets or plates full of the wafers to the audience where they sit. Do that and you will be well on your way to modernizing the church and being just like the Protestant churches which are your model. Modern church for modern times for a Modernist Episcopate.
