Earth is not our sister. Man and woman is made in the image and likeness of God, especially in our soul, which is immortal. Earth is an inanimate creation, made for our benefit and enjoyment. It is not our true home. It will pass away. Our God will never pass away. The Beatific Vision in heaven is our true home, where God in His infinite Charity creates all things and sustains all things for all eternity for the benefit, joy, pleasure and happiness of all His Angels and Saints.
The Devil is lord for a time in this earth. He tempts us to lust after the physical world in which he reigns … for a time. A Christian does not share this lust.
