My archdiocese requires employees and even some volunteers to be trained on how not to molest children (although the clergy do 99% of the molestation); to be trained on how to treat old people and disabled or retarded people well, etc. As if “training” was some kind of magic which brought about good behavior. I am employed part time by the archdiocese here, and I told them this was a waste of their money and my time.
My “favorite” story about this king of nonsense concerns a friend who years ago had to take the “how not to molest children class” so that she could sit in the special ed religion class her young Down Syndrome son was in, to help keep him in order. Can you say “Stupid”?
