Agreed, Frank. Those of us who have had to bear witness to and suffer through the Bergoglian era of ecumenical Blitzkrieg and shameless for-profit publicity stunts can, I think, be excused if we do not partake in the current curiously frenzied whirlwind of rosaries and novenas on his behalf. Instead, we might remember the 8th Station of the Cross when Jesus told the women to “weep for yourselves and your children.” In the shadow of Calvary (the world), we should work and pray and, yes, weep for ourselves that we might resist temptation, mind our own business, keep the true faith and the Commandments while there’s still time.
Honoring the great St. Patrick, we recall an excerpt from his prayer invoking God’s protection:
Against all these powers between me and those
evils,
Against every cruel and merciless
power
that may oppose my body and soul,
Against incantations of false prophets,
Against black laws of pagandom,
Against false laws of heretics,
Against craft of idolatry,
Against spells of witches and smiths
and wizards,
Against every knowledge that corrupts
man’s body and soul;
Christ to shield me today
Against poison, against burning,
Against drowning, against wounding,
So that there may come to me an
abundance of reward.”
Many of us are praying for Francis… praying for his conversion to Catholicism before he dies.
Agreed, Father.
Absolutely. We pray every day that he repents before he stands before the judgment seat of God.
you disgust me
