    The War Secretary quotes from Saul and Joshua in the Old Testament but anachronistically and sacrilegiously attributes those texts to Jesus Who was born and founded His Church well over a thousand years later.
    As Holy Week approaches, we remember that the Torah (the five books of Moses) was rigidly upheld by the Sanhedrin and Pharisees who were mortal enemies of Christ. They rejected Jesus as Messiah and His teaching that the entire Torah and Prophets depend on two commandments: loving God with all one’s heart, soul, mind, and strength, and loving one’s neighbor as oneself. Jesus emphasized that the Torah requires internal holiness, mercy, and righteousness, not mere literal interpretation.

    The New Testament and the New Law feature the Sermon on the Mount, the Beatitudes, for example “Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy”;
    “Blessed are the pure of heart, for they will see God” ;
    “Blessed are the peacemakers (who work to restore harmony and good will), for they will be called children of God.”

    Now’s the time to recall the prophesies of Mary, Our Lady of Good Success, to Mother Mariana already in the 17th century: “The vices of impurity, blasphemy, and sacrilege will dominate in this time of depraved desolation. A simple, humble faith in the truth of my apparitions will be reserved for humble and fervent souls who are docile to the inspirations of grace, for our Heavenly Father communicates His secrets to the simple of heart, and not to those whose hearts are inflated with pride…”
