I used to attend a SSPX chapel for 5 wonderful years relearning my Catholic faith. The only reason I switched to an ICKSP oratory in Rockford was logistics. Easier to drive 65 miles thru rural Illinois than a 30 mile white knuckle drive into Chicago on the congress expressway. I wanted to be included in the excommunications so I made a donation to the SSPX general fund in the U.S. with more to come. Think of the impact this would have if we all did this, a huge bump in donations right after the consecrations. That would send a message to Rome who only cares about our cash and not our souls. The consecrations remind me of admiral Isoroku Yamamoto who is quoted as saying” I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve” I think Leo did that with his resentment of the SSPX. The sleeping giant of Catholic tradition is awoke and angry.
