  1. With Bishop Georg Batzing at the helm of the Bishops’ Conference held in Rome just days ago, God help what’s left of the Catholic Church, let alone the “German Church.” Batty Batz, a dyed in the wool Franophile if ever there was one, blathered on how “Pope Francis encouraged us [as] different positions were presented [and] made it clear that tension is necessary…” “[Only] courage and patience are needed to find a solution… and we sensed that dialogue can – and indeed did – succeed in this way.” Not sure if it merits a long yawn or a loud guffaw, i.e. when the blinking Bats pronounced the encounter “a serious test of synodality: listening, weighing up and accepting that the other has his opinion. It is not about deciding who has the privilege of interpretation, but about honest reflection about where we are as a Church and what the other person’s viewpoint is… The interdicastrial meeting was, for me, a sign that we will …continue on our path together.”

Archbishop Vigano, already two years ago, wrote: “These are decisive hours: we continue to pray, to recite the Holy Rosary, to nourish ourselves with the Most Holy Eucharist, to do penance. The choral voice that rises up to the throne of the divine Majesty will not remain unheard.
“Let us not be discouraged, because it is in the moment of trial that the Lord gives us the opportunity to show our trust in Him and to see the greatness of His mercy.”
