This comment is in ref to M Voris and his shrill CM articles calling those schismatic who refuse to go along with the Modernist movements away from Sacred Tradition (I won’t link to the CM article because I despise what they stand for, but the title in ref is “Francis Is The Pope … Even if he’s a bad one — a really bad one”.
Schism is refusal to submit to the legitimate authority of the Pope and all Ecclesial authority in union with him.
Schism always involves heresy of some kind, since *legitimate* authority is *always* ordered toward support of the constant Magisterium and all RCC dogmas.
I as a parent have unlimited *legitimate* authority over my children, ordered toward the specific purpose of raising them to love and serve God and to enjoy God forever in Heaven. My children have an absolute duty to obey my legitimate authority. But … they also have an absolute duty to disobey illegitimate authority oriented toward leading them into sin and separation from God. My authority ends when I use it to get my children to sell Crack cocaine on the street corner, steal my neighbor’s tv, enter into prostitution, stop believing in God and start experimenting with other religions or no religion.
In the same way … the (validly elected) Pope, as Vicar (Viceroy) of Christ, has unlimited authority as our Holy Father, above the Church and above all families. Catholics have a universal and absolute duty to submit to his authority to lead us into all Truths of the holy RC Faith, and to get us to eternal bliss with God in heaven one day. The Pope has no authority to declare sin, not sin; to give permission to sodomize another, to worship false gods, to honor other religions as valid paths to God, to alter the apostolic hierarchical structure ordained by God Himself before His holy ascension into heaven.

Catholics similarly have an absolute duty to disobey illegitimate Papal directives, on pain of mortal sin if we comply. We cannot worship false gods and false religions. We cannot allow sacrelige within Sacred Liturgy and the removal of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. We cannot call sin – not sin. We must obey God and the constant Sacred Magisterium and all Her dogmas in union with all the Saints through time in union with Christ our Lord.
As Arbp LeFebvre said at the time – how can I be in schism now when a mere few years ago my actions and beliefs were dogmatically required … and the demands now made upon me were previously schismatic themselves?

Rather, why not finger-point at De Beers of South Africa, world leader in diamond production today, 85% of its shareholders belonging to Anglo-American plc,? The movie “Blood Diamond” was filmed in Mozambique located off the coast of South Africa…both enjoying bilateral trade and mutual diplomatic ties.

The Congo is one of the wealthiest countries in unmined reserves of raw materials, some 24 billion dollars worth. For example, its rainforest, 2nd largest after the Amazon: only 16% is “protected” by the government. In the DRC are enormous deposits of Coltan (used in producing cellphones and laptops) and Cobalt (used to make lithium-ion batteries powering electric cars, etc.). 80% of the Congolese mines are owned by China. Now Tesla has made a deal with Glencore, the Anglo-Swiss mining giant, to build toxic polluting lithium battery factories using child labor in the Congo.
Francis likes to talk peace in safe zones (Kinshasa in the DRC is largely Catholic and Protestant). He conspicuously plays it safe by skipping the likes of Kiev, Beirut, Seattle, Memphis, even Abidjan…
