Bad enough that its self-authenticating Synodality gave FrancisChurch a license to reinterpret all manner of “Christian” behavior, now we’re told the ultimate fairy tale, i.e. that the Pope and the Magisterium are one and the same. Talk about a paradigm of pride. In Francis’ wheelhouse of self-aggrandizement, everything is reshaped by a process of relabeling into evidence of his own genius.
Was I the only one to be shocked by Flores’ blanket condemnation of the people, the parade and the pomp in Westminster Abbey on May 6th as devil worship? Granted, he did an amazing amount of research and quoted extraordinary papal pronouncements, especially pertaining to the 16th century Protestant revolutionary times under the Tudors, and to the rise of Freemasonry from the 18th century unto our own. No true historian, no true Catholic theologian can deny all that. However, reduction of song and ceremony (i.e. inspiring memories and remnants of worship in Medieval and Renaissance Christian Europe) to “the aesthetics of hell” is most likely a bridge too far.
