You had mentioned something about the Pelican in today’s video. I think they picked the wrong bird. They should of chosen the Albatross. According to Wikipedia the Albatross is also known as the goony bird. Perfect fit.
One thing about Hicks too. For a while I was going to an indult mass at St. Marys in West Chicago. The Pastor, Fr. John Blalif was a big supporter of the Latin mass. All his assistants at the parish he sent to St. John Cantius to learn a crash course in a low mass. Bishop Conlon was the bishop then. The Latin mass began to grow at the parish level. Lot of priests began offering it on special occasions. I remember going to Ash Wednesday mass at St. John the Baptist church there in Winfield the mass was in Latin and the distribution of the ashes was in Latin as well. When Hicks came in he put an immediate stop to all priests still reading the Latin mass who belonged to the diocese. I guess it broke the hearts of many of these priests. I don’t know how St. Marys in West Chicago survived, they still have a low mass each Sunday. In addition there are two FSSP locations as well. One in Joliet and the other a chapel I forget where. I don’t know were people are getting that he is a huge TLM supporter. At best he tolerates it that is about it. I am sure as I type Trad inc is busy spinning their little wheels of Goebbles news.
